The Daily climb: schedule, one attempt, and a routine

The Daily is one date-based climb, designed to be played once. A short routine around it gives you practice without spending the attempt.

When the Daily changes

The Daily selects seven prompts from the current library using the UTC date. The selection changes at midnight UTC, which is not midnight everywhere. If you play late in the evening in the Americas, the next Daily may already have arrived.

Every player on the same UTC date receives the same deterministic selection from this edition. The prompts are not fetched from another site and do not depend on your time zone.

One attempt, saved in your browser

The Daily allows one attempt per browser per date. There is no account and no server-side attempt record; the result is stored in this browser's local storage. Clearing site data can remove the record, and the same date may then become playable again on that device.

Opening a prompt and leaving can count as a miss when you resume. If you start the Daily, finish it.

Practise in Classic, not in the Daily

Classic has no daily limit. It draws from the same library and uses the same scoring, so it is the right place to warm up. One Classic climb primes the instinct you need for the Daily without spending the attempt.

A ten-minute routine

The routine is deliberately short. It is designed to be repeatable on a normal day, not to turn the game into homework.

  1. Play one Classic climb as a warm-up.
  2. Open the results and read the top answer for each prompt.
  3. Play the Daily.
  4. Review the two prompts where you scored lowest.
  5. Stop. A second Daily is not available, and extra Classic climbs add less than the review.

What the game does not track

There is no account, no public profile and no official streak. The game stores your best Classic, Endless and Daily scores in this browser, along with recently seen prompts and the current Daily attempt. It does not report your results to a server.

The multiplayer leaderboard is separate: it records completed room climbs by generated player number and score, and keeps a capped list. Playing solo does not add entries to it.

Reading your Daily result

The Daily score is out of 700 points, the same ceiling as Classic. Compare it with your own Classic bests rather than with other players, because the prompt mix changes every date and a harder set can produce a lower score without any drop in skill.

The more useful signal is the board review. If your Daily misses came from one category, that is the category to practise in Classic before the next date.
